I stumbled into my first UX Writing job when the discipline was still new, and back then, I didn’t even need a portfolio. But as UX Writing evolved, I quickly realized how important a strong portfolio is. My first attempt at building a portfolio wasn’t great, and I faced rejections for key roles. Determined to improve, I analyzed countless UX Writing portfolios to find the winning patterns and structures. Eventually, I mastered portfolio building and began receiving various invitations to jobs and client projects.
